China just slammed the US President-elect Donald Trump on his obsessive use of Twitter to make unpredictable and confusing statements. Moreover, China called Trump’s way of using twitter as an undiplomatic medium of conducting international relations.

A reputable Chinese news agency Xinhua read,

The obsession with ‘Twitter diplomacy’ is undesirable. It is a commonly accepted that diplomacy is not a child’s game — and even less is it business dealing. As former United States Secretary of State [Madeleine] Albright said, Twitter should not be a tool for foreign policy.

This response from the Chinese side comes after Trump’s chaotic tweet, blaming China for North Korea’s irresponsible tests of missiles. The tweet on January 3 read: China has been taking out massive amounts of money & wealth from the U.S. in totally one-sided trade, but won’t help with North Korea. Nice!

In the past, Trump has continuously been accusing China of manipulating currency and stealing jobs. Moreover, the tweet which highlighted Trump’s acceptance of the congratulatory call from Vietnam further outraged the Chinese Government.

While Trump incessantly pokes China, the Chinese officials try to ignore him. No clear response from Chinese Government has been received yet. However, some of the magazines like The Global Times call him an ‘ignorant as a child in foreign policy’.

South Korea is also getting fed up

As a response to Trump’s obsession with Twitter, South Korean government has assigned a new post just to monitor his tweets. According to the Korean daily JoongAng, the step is taken as South Korea ‘is still in the process of building ties with Trump and does not have a lot of insight into his foreign policies – like most of the world.

According to the analysts, this move by the Korean government is also an effect of Trump’s New Year tweet about ballistic missiles. Reportedly, the Korean foreign minister has called Trump’s tweet a clear warning to neighboring North Korea.
